Chang He put down the strawberries and then went back to the kitchen. Remembering that Xu Riyuan liked crayfish, he out brought a few kilograms.

“Meow-”

Qian Sui had originally slept comfortably on the sofa when suddenly, a huge Akita dog sprang out into the room and frantically flicked its tail at it.

Seeing her cat’s fur raise up, Xu Riyuan arched her body as if she would rush to fight the large dog in the next second, and with an imperceptibly coquettish tone in her voice, she said: “Chang He, take care of your dog.”

“Duo Le, don’t scare people.” Chang He leaned out half of his body from the kitchen to speak to the dog. After hearing those words, the Akita dog suddenly froze and didn’t wave his tail anymore. He sadly found a space on the sofa to lie down.

Upon seeing this, Qian Sui directly ran off the sofa, twisted its hips, and ran to Xu Riyuan’s feet, her furry head leaning on the back of her feet.

When the others saw this, they couldn’t help but say:

“If anyone were to be utterly awesome, then it’d be Yuan sis. You have to know that Chang He’s dog never pays attention to anyone, so why is it that when your cat comes, it’s as if it was glued to your cat?”

“Yuan sis, how come your cat is like a dog, so clingy to you? That scumbag cat in my house, I have to treat her to many good things for her to be clingy to me.”

Xu Riyuan bent over and picked the cat up and put it on her lap. She touched it and smiled softly: “I found Qian Sui on a rainy day. The previous owner lost it. When I saw it, I looked very pitiful, only skin and bones.”

“Hey, coincidentally, our bro, Chang He, also picked up a stray dog.” Peng Fei put two circles and changed his hands to smoke. “At the time, Duo Le had a broken leg, and it took a long time to raise him. If you look carefully, you can see that it’s still a bit limp if you see him walk.”

“This dog, it’s called Duo Le, ah.” Xu Riyuan was not thinking about mahjong, so as a result, she threw a piece of paper and Qu Xiuyuan became confused.

She suddenly remembered that she had once said that she would raise a large dog named Duo Le, Duo Xi Duo Le.

Translator’s note: Duo Le means a lot of happiness.

She had already forgotten what she had said at the time, but he remembered and helped her accomplish one of her dreams.

Her heart couldn’t help but soften a bit. It seemed that even this person, Chang He, wasn’t that hateful after all.

”Stop playing, the food is ready.”

Chang He knocked on the dinner table and put everyone’s bowls and chopsticks in order, and then asked everyone whether they wanted to drink wine or another type of liquid.

The bottle cap was pried open, and the glass in front of everyone was filled with beer, with a shallow layer of foam floating on the top.

Xu Riyuan clinked drinks with everyone, her cheeks flushed slightly under the influence of the alcohol. She lowered her head to eat the crayfish peeled by Chang He in her bowl, and suddenly felt that her being angry at him was very childish.

Chang He was still that Chang He. He remembered that she liked to eat sweets and spicy foods, like crayfish, brown sugar crystal milk tea, and matcha cakes. His dog was called Duo Le, and the studs on his ears were still the birthday present from his junior year. She had joked that she wanted to see him wear earrings, but who would have known that the man would have taken her to the store that night and bought one?

He hadn’t changed.

Although she hadn’t contacted him for three years, he was still the old, gentle, and careful boy.

“Is it enough? If it’s not enough, I’ll fry you some more rice.”

Chang He put the warm beef rolls into Xu Riyuan’s bowl and asked in a deep voice.

Xu Riyuan swallowed the food in her mouth and waved her hand with a smile: “It’s more than enough, I’m already extremely full.”

“He, thank you.”

Editor’s note: It could also be written and spoken as “A-He,” with “A” as a more intimate title for someone close to you.

Familiar and intimate titles just blurted out from their mouths, and both sides were a little stunned. Xu Riyuan recovered her mind first and repeated it earnestly:

“Chang He, thank you.”

Thank you for the hot pot tonight, and thank you, to him, for always remembering herself after so many years.

After the meal, Peng Fei and the three left early, and Xu Riyuan stayed to help clean up the mess.

The sink was full of foam, and she carefully washed the dishes with a dishcloth. Chang He just cleaned the table and came in.

“When did you learn how to cook?” It seemed a bit embarrassing for the two to be alone in such a space, and so Xu Riyuan started to chat about topics.

“When I was abroad, I was tired of steakburgers every day.” Chang He put the cleaned bowl into another sink to rinse off the foam and wipe it, and then put it in the built-in disinfection cabinet. “How was it? Was it okay?”

After all the bowls were cleaned with water, Chang He pressed the switch of the disinfection cabinet to disinfect the dishes and chopsticks.

The surroundings seemed to calm down suddenly and quietly, and heartbeats could be heard.

The atmosphere was too sweet, and Xu Riyuan felt that if she didn’t say anything, then she would drown here.

Translator’s note: Drown, in here, means that it’s too sweet to the point of drowning.

She let out two dry laughs, and then immediately continued and spoke: “It’s more than just okay. I believe that, if you can’t open your gaming studio, then maybe you could still make money by opening up a restaurant, right?”

Chang He didn’t speak but just kept looking at himself. He kept getting closer until Xu Riyuan’s back came into close contact with the refrigerator.

“As long as you like it, it’s fine.”

In the end, Chang He almost spoke the words in a breath, and the distance between the two kept getting closer. It was almost during the moment Xu Riyuan closed her eyes when Chang He’s kiss was pressed down.

It felt hot.

The warm nose’s breathing was on her face, and all the senses gathered into one place. The bitterness of beer and the spiciness of hot pot still remained in his mouth. For the first kiss at this time, the moment was indeed not so wonderful.

Chang He didn’t leave time for Xu Riyuan to disperse her thoughts. After two gentle kisses, he drove straight in. His tongue was hot, bold, and straight, entangled with hers. When she found that Xu Riyuan still had time to be dazed, he bit her tongue in dissatisfaction, which was followed by a deeper kiss.

The bodies of the two of them stuck together, and Chang He’s hand slid from Xu Yen’s shoulder to her waist, leaned under the hem, and rubbed it back and forth gently. He opened his eyes to see the flushing on Xu Riyuan’s face, her eyelashes trembling constantly, and a bit of sweat oozed from the tip of her nose, and he only felt heat accumulate in his lower abdomen. He traced the outline of her lips carefully, and the tip of his tongue swept across every corner of her mouth.

“Yuanyuan, Yuanyuan…”

Chang He slightly moved the distance between the two of them. Xu Yen’s lips were ruddy, with water stains still on them, and her eyes were watery, making them beautiful and attractive.

He couldn’t help it anymore, and directly bent over and picked up the person into the bedroom. The door opened and closed neatly, and a cat and a dog crouched at the door looking at each other, and then went back to the sofa to lie down.

The moonlight was beautiful tonight, and the wind was gentle.
